After a few years sabbatical from baking sourdough I felt the need to rekindle the relationship. I had many excuses why not to start again. One being I have a sh*t oven, the process takes too long, store bought is doing the job, etc but the pivotal point for me restarting was that I needed to slow down a bit. And what better way than to get the kit from Sourdough mamma with all instructions on how to do it (so no excuse). My kit arrived on record time and Georgie came to the rescue when my starter declined to rise (I did start on the coldest weekend in QLD). I’m now hooked and after a successful 1st loaf and today baking my 2nd and know that the future of baking sourdough is here to stay.
